My Favourite GS and the Dreaded Leurgy

I feel so conflicted as a mother, my favourite GS is sick , she needs rest and to get over a virus...she also needs to keep fit and give it all she can, sometimes I catch myself thinking un-motherly thoughts.

This year has been a year of opportunity for my favourite GS. It's important to see every missed selection as an opportunity to prove yourself. She missed out on div one, played harder trained harder and made it to the Netball QLD East Region Academy, a great achievement and I get to see more of her playing.

A few days of rest, few lots of panadol and a little bit of harden up and my favourite GS went to training for the academy for fitness testing. The positive thing about that is that  next time she does the fitness testing her results will be fabulous compared to the below par results of today.

Was also great to see the other girls and get to know them better. It will be a full on time for her as there are many sheets to fill out and improvements to make. My head is spinning just reading the program, I guess when you are in it you just keep going.

My favourite GS has woken up this morning feeling much better today...we can start on being a diamond!
